The kambing project is not as successful as I had once planned, mainly because of the lack of our attention. But to say it is a total waste, well that is not quiet right.
For a whole year, the goats did not show any interest of reproducing (much to our dismay) and we even jokingly said that Harry (the only male, Dan the young male didn't survive it and die during the first few month after transferred to Ranau) was a gay. Then many months passed when suddenly my mum excitedly called to report that the three female had given birth! all at the close time. Two and a twin. That was early this year.
So my brother (Amit) and I decided that it is time to build a better compound for the herd. We are now in the progress of putting on the chainlink fence surrounding the compound, a slow progress but it will be completed someday. My mum called last night and said that another addition to the herd was born and that make a total of 9 goats now.
Now, its not fair to say that the investment for this project is in failure, well financially its not really a fast making and wont be rolling in much in the near future, but the joy in hearing my mum excitedly explain how the young goat dance whenever they visited the herd is worth it. And its good to know I half own 9 goats!! I mean, how many people could say that?
